If you are going to visit this area, it is advisable to obtain a copy of the “Trails of New River” Trail Guide, published by the National Park Service. You can download a copy from my website.
I also recommend a visit to the Canyon Rim Visitor Center. There is much to learn here. A good observation point for the gorge, a nice gift shop with good literature, a movie about the history of the area, several overlooks, and, in general, a good place to get your bearings. The staff are very knowledgeable and eager to assist.
The following falls are accessed from the Fayetteville and New River Bridge area.
