Glade Creek has two trail heads. The upper end is the short way to the Kate's Falls side trail. The lower trail head is accessed via Glade Creek Rd. Go to WV 41 out of Beckley. You can get on WV 41 from US 19 in Beckley. It's also called Stanaford Rd. Follow for 8.7 miles and turn right on Glade Creek Rd. If you continue across the bridge over the New River, you went too far. The road is just before the bridge. Follow it to the end and park. Get on the trail and have fun, it's a beautiful creek.
Just before Glade Creek Rd. there is a bridge across the New River. Cross and go a short way to see the Prince Railway station, which is a pretty cool art deco architectural remnant which is still in operation and looking good.
Before you get to the end of the Glade Creek Rd., you will come to a small creek crossing. This is the confluence of the Mill Creek and River Branch. You will find some nice creek features here and there are also some old dwellings here. You can also follow a short side road to river access for fishing.
